Train operating company have released pictures of the new glazing panels at Railway station.

The project cost £285,000 and involved replacing the life-expired glazing on platforms 1 and 4.

Designed to allow more light onto the platforms, the new polycarbonate panels should mean the platform canopies are watertight.

In total, 200 new panels were installed over a 4-day period at the end of December 2024.

“Keeping our stations in excellent condition is very important to us and helps us to meet the high standards of service our customers expect.

“The work at Cambridge has made a huge difference to the look and feel of the platforms and ensures that canopies will continue to shelter the platforms and our passengers effectively for years to come.”
