LNER A4 No. 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley will visit Chester on Friday (13th December) as it hauls a Steam Dreams Excursion.
The train will depart Colchester with a diesel locomotive at 07:00 and will pass through Ipswich (07:20), Bury St Edmunds (07:55), Ely (08:30), and March (08:53) on its way to Peterborough.
At Peterborough, 60007 will be added to the train and will depart at 09:41 and will pass through Oakham (10:10), Melton Mowbray (10:22), Leicester (11:22), Nuneaton (11:48), Stafford (12:36), Crewe (13:03) and Chester at 14:19.
At Chester, 60007 will leave the train, and passengers will return south with a diesel. Departing Chester at 18:04, the train will return to Colchester via Crewe (18:27), Nuneaton (20:00), Leicester (20:36), Peterborough (21:56), Ely (22:43), Bury St Edmunds (23:36), Ipswich (00:16) and Colchester at 00:41.
