Boxing Day trains to Oxfordshire set to run

To help people travel to sporting fixtures and the Boxing Day sales, will be operating a special service on Thursday, 26th December.

Although most of the country’s rail network will be closed on Boxing Day, Chiltern Railways services will allow passengers from between London and Oxfordshire to visit shopping outlets such as Village and the London Designer Outlet at .

The notable exceptions for services operating on Boxing Day are on Merseyside and in parts of Scotland

Between 8 am and 9 pm, there will be two trains per hour between London Marylebone and , stopping along the route at London Marylebone, , Gerrards Cross, Beaconsfield, High Wycombe, Princes Risborough, Haddenham & Thame Parkway, Bicester Village, and Oxford Parkway.

Last Trains

  • The last train from London Marylebone and intermediate stations to Oxford Parkway will depart from London Marylebone at 7.40 pm.
  • The last train from London Marylebone and intermediate stations to Princes Risborough will depart from London Marylebone at 8.15 pm.
  • The last train from Oxford Parkway and intermediate stations to London Marylebone will depart from Oxford Parkway at 8.48 pm.

“I am delighted that we can run two trains an hour in both directions between London and Oxfordshire on Boxing Day. There are some great shopping destinations along the route, including at Bicester Village, and free parking will also be available at some of our stations. Journey planners have been updated so customers can check their journeys ahead of Boxing Day as an amended timetable is in place and last trains will be earlier than usual.”
