The RMT Union has called off its planned Christmas strike action after Avanti West Coast put forward a revised offer.
The strike action was planned for the 22nd, 23rd and 29th December, but Train Managers will now vote on the new offer.
The union says that the offer includes revised Rest Day Working payments, discussions on a new technology agreement and the creation of a Rest Day Working allocation agreement.
A spokesperson has reiterated, though, that they ‘remain in dispute’ with Avanti West Coast whilst members vote on the offer.
Responses
Avanti West Coast who are now using the Class 805 to Holyhead, Llandudno, Llandudno Junction, Crewe, Wrexham and Chester and the Class 807 to Liverpool Lime Street. And the Class 807 to operate to Blackpool North from next year. Perhaps Avanti West Coast could operate to Shrewsbury via Telford Central in 2025.
Avanti. The worst train company this side of Mogadishu
