Storm Bert: Number of Lancashire and Yorkshire railway lines affected by severe weather

Northern is urging passengers to check ahead as a number of lines are being affected by Storm Bert and severe weather.

Trains between Lancaster and are suspended due to flooding at Ulverston.

A fault at Parton means that trains between Carlisle and Barrow-in-Furness are subject to delays and trains cannot run between Carlisle and Whitehaven.

Trains between and Blackpool North and Leeds and Victoria are subject to delays.

Flooding at Darwen means that trains cannot run between Bolton and , with trains between Clitheroe and Manchester Victoria running to and from Bolton.

Northern says that passengers can use services between Manchester Victoria and Blackburn via Todmorden.

Adverse weather conditions means that trains between Leeds and Bradford Forster Square / Ilkley and Skipton may be cancelled throughout.
