London trains cancelled due to broken rail

are advising passengers of train cancellations/changes after a broken rail was discovered in the Finsbury Park area.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day and also affects and services.

Great Northern / Thameslink says that trains between Moorgate and Hertford North may take up to 30 minutes longer than usual, with trains between Moorgate and Gordon Hill / Hertford North not running as well as trains from Peterborough towards .

There are alternative travel arrangements in place, so please check with your operator for the latest advice.

London North Eastern Railway says that a reduced timetable is now in operation to allow those that do run to run to a scheduled timetable as there is a 5mph speed restriction in place.
