NG15 No. 134 has moved for the first time under its own steam this week at Dinas Works on the Welsh Highland Railway.
Work on the locomotive has been ongoing for a number of years, and this is a great sign for fans waiting to see the locomotive enter service.
They wont have to wait long though, as the locomotive is set to be on display at this weekend’s Super Power event, which focuses around Dinas.
The locomotive won’t be hauling trains, but the display opportunity will make for some great photos!
Joining the NG15 will be K1 that will be heading home from the Statfold Barn Railway, where it has been overhauled and based.
There will also be freight trains, passenger trains and lots more during the event, which takes place on the 14th and 15th September 2024.
Tickets and a timetable are now available over on the FWHR website.

What a sight. I was on this line a couple of weeks ago, and saw this in the sheds, so good to see it full of life. Would love to film this. Congratulations to everybody involved in bringing 134 back to life.
