The Erlestoke Manor Fund has released a short update on the work taking place to overhaul GWR Manor No. 7802 Bradley Manor.

The overhaul is taking place at Vintage Trains’ Tyseley Locomotive Works, with plenty of progress being made in recent work.

The biggest news is that the boiler and chassis have now been reunited, with this work taking place on the 23rd of August.

Work will now focus on lagging and cladding the boiler, but other work is also taking place to keep the progress moving forward.

It was announced last week that 7802 is to be paired with the tender from GWR 2-8-0 No. 2857 in 2025, which means now full focus is on getting the locomotive ready.
