The Dean Forest Railway, which is based in Lydney, Gloucestershire, has announced that GWR 94XX No. 9466 will visit them for November’s ‘Royal Forest of Steam’ Gala.
9466 visits thanks to the West Somerset Railway and JJP Holdings South West Ltd (the locomotive’s owner).
The gala will take place on the 2nd and 3rd November, with more details set to be revealed soon.
The railway says that this is the first time a 94XX has visited the railway, including in GWR / BR days, so will certainly be a sight to see!
