Steam locomotive 34067 Tangmere set to pass through Oxenholme Lake District this Saturday

34067 Tangmere is set to pass through this Saturday (24th August) as it hauls part of The Cumbrian Mountain Express.

The tour will start at Crewe in Cheshire behind a diesel or electric locomotive. Departing Crewe at 07:10, the tour will pass through Wilmslow (07:54), Stockport (08:09). Denton (08:20), (08:53), Bolton (09:19), (10:09) and Carnforth North Junction (10:40).

Here, 34067 Tangmere will be added to the train and pass through Oxenholme Lake District (11:38), Penrith North Lakes (12:17) and Carlisle at 12:40.

After time in Carlisle, the train will depart at 15:08 and will pass through Appleby (15:58), Garsdale (16:37), Ribblehead (16:49), (17:29), (18:26) and Preston at 18:54.

Here, 34067 Tangmere is removed from the train and replaced by the diesel / electric loco. Departing Preston at 19:33, the train will return to Crewe via Bolton (20:01), Manchester Victoria (20:21), Stockport (20:58), Wilmslow (21:10) and Crewe at 21:46.
