Dovetail Games has announced a major update to Train Sim World 4 where a range of locomotives now have new suspension physics.
In addition, the beta tag is removed from the formation designer as it joins the Creators Club.
The update means extra motion is experienced when driving a train in addition to the noticeable left, right, and backward movements as trains accelerate, decelerate, or goes around corners.
The suspension update gives a more realistic feel of trains moving over the tracks, with the wheels dipping into junctions and players getting a feel of the cab rocking up and down, as the train travels over junction joints.
The improved suspension update will be added to the following locomotives:
- ECML – Class 801 Azuma, Class 66, and FKA Wagons..
- Vorarlberg – ÖBB 4024, and Habbins, Kjils, and Laeers.
- Maintalbahn – BR 624, and Eanos, Habbiins, and Roos-t.
- Rosenheim – BR 185.2 and ÖBB 4024.
- Rosenheim – Habbiins, Doppelstock.
- Semmeringbahn – ÖBB 4024, Habbiins, and U708.
- Flying Scotsman Mk.1 and Mk.2 coaches.
- Blackpool Branches – Class 08 and Class 47
- Scotrail – BR Class 380
- Training Centre – Class 323
Class 142 Pacers have already received suspension improvements before this update.
The new suspension system will be standard in future add-ons, and Dovetail Games is looking at ways to implement the system in more locomotives from the existing catalogue, including trains from the Antelope Line and LIRR Commuter.
With the addition of Formation Designer to Creators Club, it allows players to share their creations with the Train Sim World 4 community, and to download other submitted formations.

Responses
Formations that other players have created can’t be used in time table or free mode. So either it’s still bugged or not implemented yet.
