Extra trains are set to run for the Billy Joel concert in Cardiff this Friday.

Nine additional trains will run to take concertgoers home, running to Newport, Bristol Temple Meads and Swindon.

Transport for Wales are also expected to provide additional capacity in and out of Cardiff on Friday, but trains are expected to be busier than usual, especially with the National Eisteddfod taking place.

“We’re doing all we can to help customers home following the concert by providing additional trains alongside our normal timetable services.”

GWR Customer Service Director, Rachel Geliamassi
