The New Class 380 Joins an Improved Cathcart Circle Line on TSW4

The German Desiro arrives on 4 on Thursday 11th July 2024, allowing you to explore the Circle Line and all that it has to offer.

The Class 380 was designed by Siemens to be a fast and sleek commuter train to boost 's ever growing electrified Commuter network.

It is part of the Desiro Siemens family of trains, which include the class 185, 350, 444 and 450 trains, but features a very different front end to the others.

The fleet of 38 trains entered service on the 8th December 2010 primarily in and around Glasgow but also on the Edinburgh to Glasgow line following its electrification.

The Class 380 joins a remaster of the Cathcart Circle Line, which sees the following new additions:

  • TOD4 Upgrade (latest lighting, volumetric clouds & fog)
  • Updated route scenery, landscape and foliage
  • Updated track and signal visuals
  • Updated the Class 314 with new lighting, rain effects and added GSM-R
  • Updated Glasgow Central lighting, scenery, PIS and passenger spawn locations
  • Updated all stations with new lighting and passenger spawn locations
  • Added new lighting to the bridges around Glasgow
  • Added scenery for the disused Netherton Goods, Crossmyloof and Dumbreck stations
  • Added scenery and track for the disused Smithy Lye sidings
  • Added scenery and lighting for Shields Depot
  • Added interactable player bench at Glasgow Central and Pollokshields East

The Class 380 will be available from Thursday 11th July 2024 and will cost £12.99/€15.99/$16.99 and the Cathcart Circle Update will go live early next week (Week beginning Monday 8th July) and will be available to anyone already holding the Cathcart Circle Line.
