Six more stations in Buckinghamshire use pay as you go system

Buckinghamshire station users will now be able to use pay as you go with contactless at six more stations.

Chiltern Railways announced on Monday 1st July that in June they had launched contactless at more stations.

The following six stations will now support pay as you go:

• Beaconsfield
• Denham
• Denham Golf Club
• Gerrards Cross
• High Wycombe
• Seer Green & Jordans

This major investment aims to improve travel on the Chiltern network and make rail travel easier. As customers only require their contactless card or device to travel, travel will become more convenient as the best fare is worked out for the customer.

Regional station team members, Chiltern Railways' Commercial & Customer Strategy Director Andy Camp, and colleagues behind the project, attended High Wycombe station on the 1st July to watch the technology in action.

Morning commuters at the six stations were also met and given information leaflets on the project and how to use the technology.

Customers are reminded that they need to tap at the start and end of their journey to ensure they are charged correctly.
