Part of the Manchester Metrolink in the City Centre is set to close later this month to allow for upgrade work to take place.

No trams will operate between the 24th July and 19th August on the line between Market Street and Shudehill whilst the work takes place.

Passengers travelling between Piccadilly and Victoria can use a replacement bus service or change trams at St Peter’s Square.

Shudehill will also close to traffic where trams cross the road between the 24th July and 5th August.

A diversion route will be signposted for both cyclists and drivers. However, Transport for Greater Manchester says that access to the Manchester Arndale will be maintained at all times.
