Locomotive Services Group has announced a special event that will celebrate the return to steam of LNER A2 No. 60532 Blue Peter.
The event will take place at London King’s Cross at 1pm on the 13th July. More details and timings can be found by clicking here.
As part of the event, a demonstration train to York will depart Kings Cross at 14:10, and alongside this, Class 57 No. 57311 will be rededicated as ‘The Institution of Mechanical Engineers’.
Blue Peter is currently at Crewe undergoing painting and lining ahead of her return to steam, the locomotive was ‘run in’ at the Severn Valley Railway, as can be seen below:
