is warning passengers of a change at station next week.

There will be no parking spaces in the station car park off Richmond Place from the evening of 23rd June until it reopens on the 1st July.

Work will be carried out on the car park and includes resurfacing and line painting, and is just the latest in a round of improvements at the station, which has included a new foot bridge and lifts to make the station fully accessible.

It is expected that the car park will be open for the start of service on Monday 1st July.

“Dawlish station has seen some great improvement over the last few months, including becoming fully accessible, and it is good to see this continue with the resurfacing of the car park.

“We do however need to warn customers that there will be no parking at Dawlish from Monday 24 to Monday 1 July, while this work is carried out, and we're sorry for any inconvenience that will cause you.”

  • God sake you can never please some people they will always find another thing to moan about when improvements are made typical British.

  • Agree station and bridge surly need a repaint both look dull & lack lustre after all the investments made to sea wall, especially the bridge which would enhance the front of DAWLISH which all visitors see

  • There has been some great work done on the station, but the bridge between the town and the beach looks really ugly with all the rust. After all the money that’s been spent, surely a few coats of paint on the station and the bridge is not too much to ask?
