With strikes set to take place over the next few weeks, Transport for London is advising passengers to consider using alternative routes and to allow extra time to complete journeys.
From the 30th June until 8th July as well as the 11th and 15th July, Unite the Union members will be taking strike action.
Staff who are taking the strike action maintain the trams and infrastructure and will impact the London Trams network.
If the action goes ahead, Transport for London says that there will be a reduced and disruptive service across the whole London Trams network.
TfL has advised customers to walk or cycle for local journeys or use London Buses and London Overground, though these are expected to be busier than usual.
On the 6th and 7th July, there is a planned closure of the London Trams network for maintenance, with no trams running from East Croydon to New Addington, Elmers End and Beckenham Junction, but rail replacement buses and local bus services will be available.
We urge Unite the Union to work with us to find a resolution and call these strikes off. Customers planning to use London Trams services are encouraged to check before they travel, allow extra time for their journeys, and check the TfL website or the TfL Go app for the latest travel information.”
