The overhead electric wires at Darlington have been damaged and means that an extremely limited service will call at the station in the southbound direction, today, 11th June.
Northbound services are unaffected by the issue on Platform 1, which has seen the power turned off whilst repairs are made.
Passengers are being advised to use CrossCountry and TransPennine Express services between Newcastle and York.
Northbound passengers are advised to travel on LNER services to Newcastle and then board the next southbound TPE/XC service to Darlington.
