The second largest train company in the UK is about to launch 10,000 discount codes for regular travellers.

Passengers living in the commuter belts of Bradford and Sheffield who travel frequently using Northern Trains are being encouraged to hasten to secure a code which can offer a great savings on regular peak time train travel.

The latest batch of discount codes will be available from Thursday 23 May 2024.

Passengers can use these codes to save £10 on monthly and flexible season tickets that cost £40 or more.

The codes will be available to anyone who books their train tickets in advance across a selected number of peak-time services that operate into Bradford’s and Sheffield’s stations.

Once you redeem a code, the discount will deduct from the ticket price. You can use all discounted codes on tickets that will expire before Thursday 18 July.

Northern hopes this will benefit not just the regular commuter, but several people that are accustomed to working various shift patterns.

These include those that work in the retail, leisure healthcare and hospitality professions, along with those that need a break from working at home. This is a splendid chance for such workers to give travelling by train a try, and to experience the cities of Bradford and Sheffield during peak times, when the shops and restaurants are normally at their quietest.

If you can’t get your hands on one and are travelling to work on a Northern service regularly, you can still save up to 33% by buying a season ticket instead of individual tickets.
