The North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR) is reminding people of its forthcoming Santa Express journeys, tickets for which went on sale in July.
Its Santa Express special service will run over the weekends of 25-26 November and 2-3, 9-10, 16-17, and 23-24 December. On what the Railway describes as the “ultimate festive day out”, visitors can board the train at either Pickering or Grosmont station for the hour-long journey.
Entertainment will include Santa Claus and his team of elves and helpers passing through the carriages spreading jollity to the passengers and giving a gift to every child. NYMR promises “an unforgettable journey filled with laughter, joy, and plenty of holiday spirit.”
The Railway runs this festive special every year, and this year’s programme is similar to last year’s. NYMR is advising visitors that tickets always sell out quickly, so encourages early booking.
- Pickering departures: 09:55, 11:25, 13:00, 14:55
- Grosmont departures: 10:00, 11:30, 13:05, 15:00
The adult or child fare is £30 per person and includes a present and a backpack for each child.
Children under 12 months travel for free but will not have a seat or receive a gift unless you bring one for Santa to distribute.
