Garbled messages will become a thing of the past for visitors to one of the major stations in the Severn Valley Railway.

Much clearer announcements will soon echo across the concourse and platforms of Kidderminster Town Station following the installation of a new sound system and speakers.

Visitors to Kidderminster station will receive a much clearer set of announcements, thanks to the new sound system and speakers.  The speakers were paid for by the Kidderminster station fund.

Geoff Smith, the station master at Kidderminster, said: “We have needed some new speakers on the concourse for a while. I am delighted to know when passengers visit us, they will now be able to hear the announcements for train departures and arrivals clearly.”
