Engineering works on Sunday 6th November to Wednesday 9th November have been cancelled at Liverpool Central station.
The work has been cancelled due to the 24 hour national strikes which were recently announced by RMT.
Due to this, services on the Hunts Cross, Kirkby, Southport and Ormskirk will be affected.
Maintenance employees who are members of RMT will be taking action from 02:00 on the 5th November to 01:59 on Sunday 6 November, from 02:00 on Monday 7 November to 01:59 on Tuesday 8 November, and from 02:00 on Wednesday 9 November to 01:59 on Thursday 10 November.
Whilst Merseyrail employees aren’t involved in this action, the work was planned to be carried out by Network Rail staff who are involved in the action, preventing the work.
A new date for the work will be released as soon as it is discussed.
The cancellation means that the services on the 6th November will run as normal but services on Saturday 5 November, on Monday 7 November and on Wednesday 9 November will be affected.
