The famous Barmouth Viaduct has reopened to passengers today (Saturday 15th October) for four weeks.
The viaduct has been closed for five weeks since the 12th September as essential repairs were carried out.
In November, the next stage of work will start with more repairs being made as well as track renewal.
During this time, the Cambrian Coast line will close and the footpath across the viaduct will also close.
Rail replacement buses will operate from Sunday 15th November until Saturday 10th December.
Ben Perkins, scheme project manager at Network Rail, said: “I would like to thank passengers for their patience as we continue to safely carry out these works on this vital transport link.
“Our efforts will ensure that the viaduct will continue to be secure and will remain operational for future generations.”
