Crich Tramway Village is located in the village of Crich in the beautiful Derbyshire Dales and offers plenty to do for all the family with over 60 trams dating from 1873 to 1982, and events right through August.
Monday the 1st and Tuesday the 2nd of August will see the popular ‘Built It’ event return with visitors getting the chance to build an incredible LEGO® mosaic, with guidance from Fairy Bricks. Thousands of bricks will be mixed together to build a wonderful visual spectacle.
Saturday the 13th and Sunday the 14th of August sees the ‘Sounds of the 50s and 60s’ event with a good helping of nostalgia and live music at the Tramway Village. The event will also see a short film in the mobile cinema which has been in operation since the 1960s.
Monday the 15th to Friday the 19th of August sees Discovery Week, which provides families with a chance to find out more about both heritage and science with fun interactive activities.
Saturday the 20th and Sunday the 21st of August will see ten layouts at the Tramway Village including Whiteleaf Tramway, which displays the biggest assembly of Belgium G Scale Vicinal rolling stock in the UK.
Monday the 22nd to Friday the 26th of August is Woodland Week and brings a great opportunity for outdoor creativity, including willow weaving, woodland crafts and trails, as well as storytelling for younger visitors.
Sunday the 28th and Monday the 29th of August wraps up the summer month in fantastic fashion with a delightful Teddy Bears Picnic and includes a Teddy Trail along the Woodland Walk. Visitors can bring their own picnic and teddy bear with children’s entertainment available from 12.30pm to 2.30pm on both days.
Tickets provide free returns to the Tramway Village over a 12-month period (subject to opening dates and excluding the 1940s events). Returning ticket holders can use their ticket for all of the above events with no need to pre-book, just present your ticket or pay when you arrive.
