Mid Suffolk Light Railway has announced its 2021 Santa Specials that will deliver lots of festive fun for all the family, with tickets on sale now.
The ‘Middy’ will be hosting their festive Santa Special trips which are ideal for children aged up to 10 years old.
The magical Christmas trips will run from Brockford Station to ‘North Pole Halt’ and will include a very special visit for each child to Santa in his Christmas Guards Van who has a present for every child.
The Stations, Brockford, ‘North Pole Halt’, the Museum and the cafe, will all be fully trimmed up getting everyone in the Christmas mood.Â
On the return from visiting Santa, passengers can visit the Christmas Market which will feature Christmas crafts, hot drinks, waffles and delicious mulled wine will be available to buy.Â
Two traction engines will also be in steam and a Dutch Street organ will be bringing extra merriment, there will also be model railway layouts and a live steam model traction engine for everyone to enjoy.
The festive atmosphere will be a wonderful experience for visitors, especially children as Suffolks only standard gauge award-wining railway museum brings the magic of Christmas to the rails.
The Santa Special uses original Great Eastern Railway Victorian four-wheeler coaches which bring a historical experience for all.
The seasonal spectacular is definitely not one to be missed with early booking advised as the event will be by advanced booking only.
Santa Specials will run on:Â
- Saturday the 4th and Sunday the 5th of December
- Saturday the 11th and Sunday the 12th of December
- Saturday the 18th and Sunday the 19th of December
Compartments for 2 to 8 people are priced at £12.50 per person with a minimum of 2 passengers.
