Great Northern has confirmed that it was rated as Highly Commended at this year’s National Rail Awards.
The award judges heard how Great Northern‘s leadership team had improved punctuality, with new trains introduced and best-ever rating for passenger satisfaction.
The best ever passenger satisfaction came back in Spring 2020, with the award ceremony taking place earlier this week on the 16th September 2021.
The train operator was told that its response to the coronavirus pandemic had been first class, with staff working hard to keep passengers moving safely.
Great Northern Managing Director Tom Moran said: “I’m delighted for the team around me that has transformed Great Northern for our passengers. We know we have much still to do and, as we begin to emerge from the pandemic, we’re determined to build on this success for our customers.”
