Northern has launched its £1 Flash Sale, giving passengers what the operator says is that chance to ‘Go Do Your Thing’.
The flash sale allows more than 1 million advance tickets to be purchased from today, Tuesday 24th August.
Passengers will get the chance to see the results of Northern‘s work to improve its network, with 101 new trains, refurbished older trains, and improvements to stations.
As part of the flash sale, younger people can travel for just 50p.
Tickets can be purchased from the Northern website and must be for travel between the 6th of September and 22nd of October.
Simply search for a journey on the website and the reduced rate will be presented if tickets are available.
Mark Powles, Northern’s Customer and Commercial Director, said: “The past 18 months have been tough for all and, as things begin to return to normal, we wanted to give our customers the chance to explore all the North has to offer for the best possible value.
“It also gives our customers the chance to see, first-hand, the palpable improvements we’ve made while they’ve been away. Our trains, stations and ticket buying options have never been better and, together with our staff, we are ready to help people across the North to Go Do Your Thing.”

What about ordering extra new trains that is needed for Northeast England including Hartlepool, Whitby and for Northern to operate the shuttle service between York and Scarborough using Class 170 and Class 158 DMUs.
Let’s Hope this’ll potentially boost rail travel, especially across the North of England.
