A rollerblading turtle has set a feel-good pace for in their brand new advert as they reveal their new campaign

The 60-second advert is wonderfully uplifting with ‘Turbo’ the rollerblading turtle enjoying an easy and joyful journey from the heart of a busy city centre, ducking and diving through traffic and onto the rolling hills and scenic villages of the countryside. The advert brings a refreshing take on rail travel and builds a genius message to mind of how lovely and effortless it is to travel by train.

Avanti West Coast’s ‘Feel Good Travel’ campaign is all about reminding people of how enjoyable and fun it is to travel by train with the rail operators mission to make sure every moment of your journey feels good.

The ad hopes to encourage more people to get on the rails and experience the stunning sights available on the West Coast route and the campaign also hopes to support local communities by bringing increased tourism.

Most of the filming for the feel-good ad took place around Manchester with some great shots of Castleton in Derbyshire, including the impressive Winnats Pass. The final scene shows one of Avanti West Coasts iconic Pendolinos speeding across the historic Twemlow Viaduct in Cheshire. 

Avanti timed the campaign release to coincide with an increase in services on Manchester, West Midlands and North Wales routes. The campaign will feature on television, video-on-demand, out-of-home sites as well as on radio, in print, digital and social media. 

Kate Squires, Marketing Director, Avanti West Coast said: “We really want to inject a feel good vibe when people think about travelling with us. That’s the purpose of this campaign.

“We’re incredibly excited to bring people back on-board and shout about all of the great reasons why it’s the best way to get around. This is the perfect way to do it.”.

  1. This advert is misleading. It gives the impression that trains give easy travel into outlying areas where in at least some of the cases, the railways were actually cut by Beeching in the 60’s. Poor show!!

  2. Hi there I’m not sure who to contact about this but since my daughter has watched the advert she feels it’s now ok to steal veg from shops and when I confront her about it she said it’s ok for the turtle to on your advert. I am deeply disappointed you are promoting theft via a turtle could you please do something about this before other children who like tortoises decide to do the same!!
