London Calling! Pick up a FREE ice cream this weekend!

The highlight of the year for many of the UK public, ‘s Southern Region are celebrating the Summer Holidays with the chance to win some goodies and a free ice cream.

Beaches and countryside in the South of England attract thousands of visitors over the Summer Holiday period, with the Southern Region of Network Rail celebrating this.

Across their stations in , these being , , and Charing Cross, passengers can take part in a selfie competition, where they can take photos in an iconic Mini draped in the Union Jack.

Prizes for winning this includes a food hamper filled with luxury food and tickets to a Southeastern railway destination of their choice.

On weekends, rail users can pick up a free ice cream on offer.

Network Rail’s Great British Summer Holiday will be visiting a different station each week:

  1. Charing Cross –  Thursday 5th to Sunday 8th August
  2. London Victoria – Thursday 12th to Sunday 15th August
  3. London Bridge – Thursday 19th to Sunday 22th August
  4. London Waterloo – Thursday 29th July 1st August and  Thursday 26th to 30th of August

Stations Director Southern region, Lucy McAuliffe said: “The past 15 months have been really difficult for so many of us, but as more restrictions are removed, we want to make our passengers feel especially welcomed back to our stations and onto the railway.

“We know this summer will be different, with trips overseas difficult for lots of passengers, however we hope to get everyone in the mood for a staycation with our Great British Summer Holiday campaign.”
