Train operator Northern has been working on Shipley Station to make the station more accessible for those who use it.
A new waiting room and new toilets have been built that are more accessible for passengers, and these are now open for use.
Northern wanted to keep the heritage features of the disused Platform 5 toilets and the new facilities are free of charge.
For those who have mobility needs, Northern has installed new automatic doors in place.
In the new waiting room, there is CCTV and a Customer Information System (CIS) and new seating.
All the work is a part of the Northern’s wider programme to improve the stations across the rail network
Tony Baxter, Regional Director at Northern, said: “I would like to thank our customers for their patience while improvement works were carried out.
“We are working hard to make sure our stations are safe, accessible, and welcoming places for customers and the new toilets and waiting room at Shipley will make a big difference to our customers.
“We are committed to giving people with additional needs the confidence to travel by rail and our A Better Way to Go campaign demonstrates the hard work that has taken place as we continue to transform rail travel in the north.”
