Class 777s have begun arriving in the UK ahead of their testing and introduction with Merseyrail.
The new multiple units are set the improve rail travel for people in Liverpool and are being built by Stadler.
Hans-Peter Erismann, who lives near the Stadler factory in Altenrhein, in Switzerland, has allowed the photos in this article to be shared, showing the new 777 being prepared for its journey on the 16th February 2021.
Once it leaves the factory, the unit will make its way to the Channel Tunnel before making its way to Liverpool by rail.
Merseyrail says that these trains will be able to carry 50% more passengers than the outgoing Class 508s.
777001 – 777052 are part of the first batch of units that will hopefully enter service in 2021.
What do you think of the new trains? Let us know in the comments below.
A big thank you to Hans-Peter Erismann for sharing the images with us and allowing RailAdvent to publish them.

These are not the first 777 trains, we have had about 7 of them parked up at kirkdale station for the past 12 months, they were due in service late last year but could put a stop to the station refurbs needed to make the suitable for the new trains.
I’m pretty sure if you find kirkdale station on Google maps you will spot them parked up on the sidings.
And with a option of 60 Class 777s also to be built which will add the total of the 52 Class 777s to 112 Class 777 on the Merseyrail network.
They look so sleek!
I can’t wait to see one in action!
Starlet best company , love how there trains are wheel chair friendly and make room for cycles and child areas
