UPDATED: 62005 has failed its FTR Exam.
This move is now cancelled!!
This Monday, 16th November 2020, will see Ex-LNER K1 No. 62005 back out on the mainline once again, this time, heading for Grosmont on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
This light engine movement is to allow the locomotive to head back to base after spending Summer in Scotland on The Jacobite services.
Departing Carnforth Steamtown at 07:52, the locomotive will pass through Carnforth (08:15), Settle Junction (09:03), Hellifield (09:10), Gargrave (10:33), Skipton (10:43), Keighley (11:08), Shipley (11:20), Whitehall Junction (11:36), Castleford (12:22), Church Fenton (12:38), York (12:56), and York NRM at 13:19.
After a break at the NRM, the locomotive will depart at 16:38 and will pass through York (16:53), Thirsk (17:33), Yarm (18:02), Eaglescliffe (18:06), Middlesborough (18:27), Gypsy Lane (18:41), Nunthorpe (18:46), Battersby (19:07), Glaisdale (20:06) and Grosmont at 20:24.
