Passengers are being urged to book early for train travel this Christmas and arrange plans as early as possible.
From the 25th to the 30th December, Network Rail are continuing their project at London Kings Cross and means the station will be closed for six days.
To help passengers travel ahead of the closure, the operator is increasing services from early December until Christmas Eve.
Further engineering works will take place from the 31st December until 3rd January 2021 and will mean a reduced timetable will be in operation.
All LNER services are reservation only, which means that passengers are allocated a socially distanced seat for their journey.
A spokesperson for LNER said: “We understand the disruption this engineering work may cause to Christmas plans this year, so we are urging our customers to plan and book their travel as early as possible.”
