Yesterday (Wednesday 7th October) new Customer Information Points opened at railway station.

The new wheelchair accessible information points will serve both the Kent and Sussex sides of the station.

The new information points feature desks which are lower down to provide accessibility and will be operated by staff from and GTR.

Having a circular design, the customer information points allow a better passenger flow through the station. Better IT links have been installed, providing enhanced information to passengers.

Thomas Wood, Head of Route Stations, Kent and Sussex said: “We’re constantly looking for ways to improve our customer service at Victoria station and these pods offer greater accessibility so that all customers can get access to the information they need.”

Peter Tuck, Southeastern Welcome Host, said: “I help dozens of customers a day. These pods give me a much nicer environment to work in and will enable me to offer information to customers in a more efficient way.”
