The South Devon Railway has confirmed to RailAdvent what its plans are for reopening the railway after the Coronavirus lockdown.
The heritage railway is looking to reopen the Buckfastleigh site in Late July with a number of facilities open, including the Dartmoor Otters and Buckfast Butterflies Centre.
Trains will hopefully return in August, but some issues need to be sorted prior to this.
The SDR also needs to make sure railway operations can be safe and also financially viable.
A spokesperson told RailAdvent: “We are looking at hopefully re-opening the 13-acre site at Buckfastleigh soon in late July with a number of facilities available, including the Dartmoor Otters & Buckfast Butterflies centre.
“We are also considering a return to possible railway operations in August, but still have to resolve a number of issues first to see if it can be done and is financially viable.”
