Residents of have taken to social media to share their thoughts on the new bold sign on the railway bridge just outside the station.

NorthWestTwo Residents’ Association Secretary Marie Hancock said: “The concerted effort, catalysed through the GTR Passenger Benefit Fund, has been welcomed locally in a place trisected by three local authorities. The new signage is a marker for the station and town centre and puts Cricklewood on the map.”

Radlett to Cricklewood station manager Marc Asamoah said: “The bright, bold new sign is a great addition to the railway bridge and reinforces the identity of the area. It’s always a pleasure to work with our station partners to enhance the railway environment. The residents’ association have already brought a lot of colour to the station and I look forward to seeing future projects come to life too.”

The signage project was supported by Network Rail, Wood Street Walls, Tate Technical, Barnet Council, Conway Aecom, B&Q and Dutch and Dutch.

  1. I agree. If Brent Cross West station is planned to be built and opened in 2022 or 2023/24 etc. What is happening to Cricklewood station that is on the same line. Has GTR Thameslink, LB of Brent & Network Rail are deciding to replace Cricklewood station with Brent Cross West. Or will Cricklewood station still remain when the new Brent Cross West station is built nearby.

  2. Will Cricklewood railway station remain if a new Brent Cross West (formerly Brent Cross Thameslink/Parkway) station is to be built that will serve Brent Cross shopping centre and located close to Brent Cross Underground station (Northern Line).
