The Snowdon Mountain Railway has announced that their railway will reopen on Friday 10th of July 2020.
Easing of COVID-19 restrictions in Wales now allows for the preserved line to reopen, following closure since the end of March.
This news, allowing for some initial planning, means the Snowdon Mountain Railway will be ready to take passengers on a picturesque ride once again.
Like other heritage railways, tickets will only be available to purchase online before travel.
Staff are currently working on setting up the online booking system, which is hoped to be live within the next few days.
Many new rules will be implemented across the railway to ensure staff, volunteers and passengers are safe while travelling or using facilities on the railway.
Changes to the layouts of carriages will form individual compartments separated from each other. The movement of the reduced number of passengers will also be controlled to ensure safety.

Sorry to be a killjoy but what is the point of reopening this wonderful snowdonia railway if no one outside of Wales can ride on it, it just doesn’t make sense.
