Great Northern trains disrupted as police deal with ‘serious incident’

Great Northern has announced that, due to the police dealing with a serious incident between and , all lines are blocked.

Train services running to and from these stations have been suspended between Ely and Kings Lynn.

Disruption is expected to last until 16:00.

‘s 12:44 Kings Lynn to London Kings Cross service is delayed by this incident, and other trains will be cancelled.

This is a developing story, and we will aim to update this story as soon as information comes in.

Heres what we know:

As well as train services being suspended between Ely and Kings Lynn, there will also be a reduced Great Northern service between Cambridge and Ely. This is due to trains and crews being displaced from their normal schedules.

Great Northern tickets will be accepted on the following alternative operators:

– Greater Anglia services

Between Ely and Cambridge, and between Cambridge and London Liverpool Street

– CrossCountry services

Between Cambridge, Ely and Peterborough

Great Northern tickets for the Kings Lynn route will be accepted on Thameslink services between London St Pancras International and Cambridge.
