The Princess Royal Class Locomotive Trust has announced that LMS ‘Duchess’ No. 6233 ‘Duchess of Sutherland’ has sadly been withdrawn from its 2019 tours.

This withdrawal of the locomotive is because the team have found an OTMR fault, which is the data recorder for the engine.

This fault, therefore, forbids the locomotive from entering service.

Also, while working the return working of The York Yuletide Express, the locomotive’s reverser became tighter to operate. This problem alone requires more investigation by the team.
