Greater Anglia has announced that it has made extra car parking spaces available at Manningtree railway station.
60 temporary spaces have been opened as work starts to expand the decked car park.
At the end of the work, there will be over 220 additional spaces bringing the total to more than 800.
The existing one-storey decked car park is due to be expanded sideways.
An additional 20 Blue Badge spaces are being created.
What did the officials say?
Simone Bailey, Greater Anglia‘s Asset Management Director, said:
“While the work has been ongoing, there has been a reduction in the amount of parking available at the station, so it’s great to be able to make more spaces available as the project nears completion.
“We are making sure that the station is ready for future growth by extending the car park and we apologise for any inconvenience caused to customers while the work is ongoing.”
