The West Somerset Railway has announced that steam locomotive 92134 will be visiting them for their gala in 2020.

92134 is the first visitor confirmed for the railway’s big Spring Steam Gala, returning for 2020 after an absence in 2019.

The gala will be held between Thursday 23rd – Sunday 26th April 2020.

The locomotive has recently returned to service at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway after a number of years being restored.

Steam locomotive 92134 is the only remaining single chimney member of the 250 strong class built by British Railways.

The planning team for the gala are already working on other gala guests and more information will be announced soon.

Tickets will go on sale shortly, with pre-booking available.

An excellent piece of news to bring out today, and we look forward to seeing which other locomotives will be attending.
