Severe weather is causing disruption to train journeys in the Midlands area.
As a result of the flooding, trains in the Midlands may be delayed, cancelled or revised. It is not yet known how long disruption will last.
Heavy rain has flooded the railway between Hatton and Stratford-upon-Avon and is currently delaying Chiltern Railway services. More details will follow.
Heavy rain has flooded the railway between Cheltenham Spa and Birmingham New Street and is resulting in all lines being blocked. Therefore, CrossCountry services may be delayed.
Some stations after Birmingham New Street will not be served.
To help with your journey, tickets will be accepted on the following services:
- Great Western Railway services via any reasonable route
- London Northwestern Railway services between London Euston and Birmingham New Street
- Virgin Trains services between London Euston and Birmingham New Street.
Heavy Rain has flooded the railway at Draycott, near Long Eaton. Additionally, a tree is hanging over a track at Breadsall, between Chesterfield and Derby. More information to follow.
A fault with the signalling system, due to flooding on the railway, is causing disruption to London Northwestern Railway services between Northampton and Rugby. Trains may be cancelled or delayed by up to 30 minutes. Disruption is expected until 16:00.
