The Taff vale 28 team has announced that they have reached an overhaul agreement which will see the locomotive returned to steam.
The agreement has been reached with the National Railway Museum.
Also, the team has announced a grant from the Association for Industrial Archaeology (AIA) for £18,000.
This grant will fund the start of the projectm and will fund the overhaul of the chassis.
This is excellent news, and we are big fans of sister locomotive 85 at the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, and cant wait to see 28 back in steam.
