Steam locomotive 45690 Leander will be back in steam on the mainline and will be in Liverpool and Llandudno on Sunday 21st July 2019.
The Jubilee locomotive is on a special railtour on Sunday. 45690 Leander is hauling the North Wales Express on Sunday.
The railtour departs Crewe behind a diesel locomotive at approximately 09:36 am.
The railtour will then leave Crewe, bound for Liverpool Lime Street, passing through Winsford (09:47), Acton Bridge (09:54), Runcorn (10:06), Liverpool South Parkway (10:21), Edge Hill (10:32) and Liverpool Lime Street at 10:37.
Here, 45690 Leander is added to the train. Departing Liverpool at 10:55, it will pass through Edge Hill (10:59), Liverpool South Parkway (11:08), Runcorn (11:18), Frodsham (11:44), Chester (12:23), Flint (12:40), Prestatyn (12:55), Colwyn Bay (13:10), Llandudno Junction (13:15), Bangor (13:55), Llanfair P.G. (14:05), Valley (14:25) and Holyhead at 14:37.
After around 3 hours in Holyhead, the train will depart for Liverpool Lime Street. It will pass through Bangor (18:37), Llandudno Junction (19:06), Rhyl (19:57), Shotton (20:21), Chester (20:34), Frodsham (21:11), Runcorn (21:47), Liverpool South Parkway (22:04) and Liverpool Lime Street at 22:24.
