Steam locomotive 60103 Flying Scotsman heading for York this Saturday

World famous locomotive ‘Flying Scotsman‘ will be back in steam tomorrow on the mainline and will be passing through St Albans and Kettering on its journey.

The A3 locomotive is on a railtour from Ealing Broadway to York this Saturday.

The A3 will depart Ealing Broadway at 06:27, and will then pass through Acton Main Line (06:30), Hendon (07:21), St Albans (07:33), Luton (07:47), Bedford (08:16), Wellingborough (09:01), Kettering (09:11), Oakham (10:08), Melton Mowbray (10:21), Loughborough (10:54), Langley Mill (11:26), Alfreton (11:33), Chesterfield (11:48), Swinton (12:54), Church Fenton (13:28) and York at 13:51.

Here, Flying Scotsman will be taken off the train, with the return journey being hauled by WCRC diesels.

Departing York at 17:18, the diesels will take the same route back as coming, passing through Chesterfield (18:40), Alfreton (18:54), Melton Mowbray (20:01), Kettering (20:57), Bedford (21:38), Luton (22:03), St Albans (22:18), and Ealing Broadway (23:01).
