44871 will be back on the mainline this Friday as it heads for Hastings.

The Black 5 is hauling a Steam Dreams Excursion to Hastings from the capital.

Departing London Victoria at 10:30, the train will pass through Brixton (10:38), Streatham Common (10:55), Selhurst (11:09), East Croydon (11:16), South Croydon (11:21), Redhill (11:39), Gatwick Airport (11:52), Haywards Heath (12:10), Plumpton (12:24), Berwick (12:53), Eastbourne (13:06), Bexhill (13:54) and Hastings at 14:03.

The return journey will see the locomotive depart at 17:00, and will then pass through Robertsbridge (17:20), Wadhurst (17:50), Nutfield (18:40), Redhill (19:17), Purley (19:30), East Croydon (19:38), Balham (19:57), Clapham Junction (20:01), and London Victoria at 20:16.
