The Midland Railway – Butterley has announced that Class 60 No.60066 will be visiting them for their upcoming diesel gala.

The class 60, named John Logie Baird, is on his way to Midland Railway next weekend.

60066 joins in the fun alongside 66136, 66623 and 66431.

This locomotive has already hauled passenger trains in its lifetime, but I’m sure you will agree, is an excellent addition to the lineup!

60066 was originally named John Logie Baird when built but the nameplate has since been removed.

This is the only class 60 to wear the Silver Drax livery.
