Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway Operations Manager, Martin Cookman, has released an update on the new first-class carriage, set to enter service in 2019.

Arrangements have been made for the 1st class carriage to return to Boston Lodge next week.

A few adjustments need to be made before the technical file is complete, then testing can begin.

The aim is to have the coach back in Ravenglass in June.

The final aim is that the carriage is in traffic for the public to use for July.
