c2c has announced that they have recorded their best punctuality records for nearly 4 years.

Last month, the train operator recorded their best punctuality results since autumn 2015.

97.7% of trains arrived on time in February, which was the best performance in the country.

This score compares to the UK average punctuality for February of 89.1%.

Meanwhile last year over the same four-week period just 88.1% of c2c trains arrived on time following the “Beast from the East” storm.

What did the officials say?

c2c Managing Director Julian Drury said:

“We’re so proud to have delivered our best punctuality figures for nearly four years. The contrast to February last year, when the Beast from the East caused so much disruption and damage to our trains, is striking.

“However our improvement isn’t only because of the weather; it also reflects the impact of all the work our staff, Network Rail and Bombardier have put into providing our customers with an ultra-reliable service.”

  1. But it’s the commuters who let the service down with some passengers vomiting on the seats, floors and even causing damage to the interiors including the seat covers. Whilst c2c are having to deal with these problems. Even you get some passengers talking on the phone and shouting whilst in the quiet zone. Even putting their feet up is also bad enough. It’s also the same on Greater Anglia at times aswell. As I live near to 2 stations on 2 separate lines.
